Why there is no contact form

A contact form collects personal data — at minimum your name, your email address and whatever you type into it — and it usually needs a script, a storage mechanism, a spam filter and a third-party service behind it. This site promises that it collects nothing and makes no third-party requests, and we would rather keep that promise than add a convenience that quietly breaks it.

Email does the same job, leaves you in control of what you send, and leaves no copy of anything on this website.

What to write to us about

Corrections. If something on this site is wrong or out of date, tell us the page address and what is wrong. We check it against the rights holder’s own published information, fix it and record the correction on the page. The procedure is set out in the editorial policy.
Data protection requests. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection under the GDPR. See the privacy policy, which also explains why, in most cases, we will have nothing about you to give you.
Complaints about advertising or editorial independence. These go to the responsible editor and are answered by her.
Rights holders. If you represent a company named on this site and believe something is inaccurate or improperly used, write to us and we will deal with it promptly.
Hosting and legal service details. Available on request, as stated in the legal notice.

What not to send

Please do not send us sensitive personal information, credentials, or content for publication. We do not accept guest articles, sponsored posts or link insertions. Email is not a confidential channel; send only what you are comfortable sending by email.

No telephone number

We do not publish a telephone line for this site. Email and post are the two routes we undertake to monitor and answer, and both create a written record that helps everyone.
